Perched high on a cliff on the west coast of Newfoundland, this outhouse looked a bit precarious on a very cold and blustery day.

Make a suet cake for the birds.
It was a frigid one degree when we got up this morning. I filled the
bird feeders last night, as the birds eat heartily when it's this cold

A bit of Spring for the new year....forcing paper whites.
We've been waiting for winter to arrive and now that it's here, we long for a little bit of spring! Forcing paper whites or narcissus, is a great way to bring the outdoors in.
