the sunset just right. Or perhaps your "just right" is different from mine. I happen to love and appreciate cemeteries, so this one was a given for me.
When we're on the coast of Maine, Pemaquid Point always offers a spectacular sunset at just the right time. Don't blink; you may miss it.
This was an unexpected visit to the river. A sunset was not on my mind. But it didn't disappoint.
Prior to the oranges and reds, there's a wispy sort of pastel sky, much like the ones an impressionist painter would paint. How appropriate that it's over the Mystic Museum of Art.
You can feel the cotton softness of the clouds, can't you? Reach up and take a deep breath.
Yet, in Provincetown, the vast expanse between the shore and the sun seems unapproachable. Much like Mary Oliver herself.
What draws your eye? The rows of sea grass planted to keep erosion at bay? The orange brush stroke that the sun leaves behind or the smattering of clouds dressed in reds and grays?
Every second takes us somewhere else.
A view on coastal Rhode Island that we wait for again.
Can you feel the movement? On our way home, this sky guided the car.
The changing landscape of a late summer sunset.
Step back a bit and let the blue sky in.
We receive sunsets when we need them most, such as on this dreary winter day.
And just for a moment, we saw the sunset.
