I've often heard children say, "There's nothing to do today". I beg to differ. I'd like to inspire you to do something. Anything. Read. Bake. Hike. Fish. Plant. Sail. Climb. Play. Reach. Move. Laugh. Dream; and take time to sit with me on The Old Granite Step.

The silhouette of a hummingbird.

It's not usually the

outline of the hummer that we see.  Typically, it's the colors; green and red with a touch of silver that catches our eye.
But I captured these as the sun was setting and it gives us a glimpse into the two dimensional world of the hummingbird.
After just ruffling his feathers, this little hummer reminds us that they are indeed birds with tiny feathers just like their larger counterparts.
The long beak and the tiny feet....small but mighty.
