I've often heard children say, "There's nothing to do today". I beg to differ. I'd like to inspire you to do something. Anything. Read. Bake. Hike. Fish. Plant. Sail. Climb. Play. Reach. Move. Laugh. Dream; and take time to sit with me on The Old Granite Step.

Thank you Kristin Nicholas for opening your home.

It was a snowy

weekend; one that gave the landscape the appearance of a quintessential Christmas card sent from New England!  It happened to be the weekend that Kristin Nicholas held her open house.  We donned our long underwear, hopped into the four wheel drive and off we went!
As one would expect, her antique home is lovely.  Comfy cozy if I may.  The crackling fire in the living room spread warmth throughout the home.  Artisans that share Kristin's passion for creating were sprinkled in every room.  I love Kristin's use of color and purchased the tea towel for myself. I also chose a gorgeous Christmas ornament and a few other things for gifts.
We had a lovely conversation with her husband and after investing in some lamb for stew, we were ready to head home.  Out of respect for Kristin, I didn't take any photos indoors.  You'll have to put it on your calendar for next year!
