I've often heard children say, "There's nothing to do today". I beg to differ. I'd like to inspire you to do something. Anything. Read. Bake. Hike. Fish. Plant. Sail. Climb. Play. Reach. Move. Laugh. Dream; and take time to sit with me on The Old Granite Step.

A few recent auction finds.

Everyone loves a good auction.  As long as you

get a seat!  This particular auction was more crowded than we expected!  Every chair in the house was taken.  It makes for good fun with a competitive nature.  This adorable petite cabinet is going to become a bathroom sink base.
I have to admit though, that I almost hate to cover the inside up.  I love this color.
This was a last minute bid.  An old tool box that has certainly seen better days will come in handy on the workbench.

1.  something that whirls or revolves.
2.  a whirling motion or course: the whirligig of fashion.
This hardworking lumberman "saws" wood when the wind blows.  After a small repair, he'll go in the garden.
I love it when I can find some fiber or fabric bargains at an auction.  I tossed this comforter in the wash and it looks great with the antique white iron bed.
I haven't quite decided what to do with the little rugs I purchased.  I'll re-purpose them for another use; I just haven't decided what.  Frame a portion of it perhaps?

While not an antique by any means, I love the colors in this quilt.  Had a great time on a cold winter's day.
